Bunny fun and other odd items

Over the past few days, Isabelle has been utterly enjoying playing with "Bunny" (a/k/a Frodo). She and "Bunny" chased each other Thursday evening for about an hour. Giggles, screams and laughter filled the air!! The joys of being a kid :-)
In other news, my Dad's research will be archived at the Cody Firearms Museum (Wyoming). My Dad would be thrilled and elated to know a lifetime's passion was being saved for future generations.
Happy June 1st!

Memorial Day Parade and Weekend

Isabelle and I walked in Nashua's Memorial Day Parade with the Greater Nashua Mother's Club. Depsite the warm weather and wind.....Wow, does a banner make a great sail and perfect for resistance training, especially when walking uphill....and a late start, we had a blast. Al's parents were up and were excited to see us in the Parade. About 11 families walked with the group this year.

We were nestled in-between a brownie troop dressed as girl scout cookies and Southern New Hampshire Universty cheerleaders in front and the fire trucks behind us. Needless to say, we did not lack for entertainment or noise!

After the parade, we went back to our house for a nice picnic outside. Later in the evening, Isabelle decided to help me get dinner ready (one of my favorites...Provencal Potato Salad) by setting the table. Well, more like setting herself up at the table ;-)

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully, all the long weekends this summer are as nice!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We are back in NH and getting ready for the Memorial Day weekend. Al is going to playing with the planes tomorrow - washing and cleaning them....he thinks that is fun, go figure. Isabelle and I are going to be getting ready for our big Memorial Day Parade debut in Nashua. We are going to be walking with the Greater Nashua Mother's Club in the parade. The rules are we have to dress in red, white and blue. Of course, Isabelle will look wonderful. I have nothing that is red, so may be a shopping trip is required. Isabelle's stroller needs to be decorated as well, so Sunday will be spent doing that task. I'm ready for it - something simple yet fun is the theme.

Also, this weekend Al's parents will be coming and spending Sunday and Monday with us. They will be in the crowd watching us walk in the Parade. Funny that I will be in a parade when I'm not all that keen on parades. See what happens when one tries to expand one's child's horizons and experience new things. Though, I am thinking up a menu for the weekend...I have found a really tasty lemon pound cake recipe that is low fat - gotta have that one on the list!

Enjoy the beautiful sunny and NOT rainy day!!!

Getting Ready for Connecticut

Isabelle and I are off this morning to visit my Mom for a couple of days in Connecticut. We have some fun things planned plus Isabelle will be going with my Mom to her physical therapy session on Thursday. Lots of fun things to play with there....balls, balance beams and so much more. I'm going to take some pictures and post the best ones here. Most likely, I will not be able to post anything while I am away.

Hey, don't forget to check out this totally cool website site - http://www.kirtsy.com/. It is a wonderful website that was created by the woman behind the Design Mom website and some of her friends. They have great contests and some interesting information too.

Also, check out http://www.etsy.com/. One of my friends has a great shop (http://www.shopmayapapaya.com/). Isabelle loves the hair clips and they are really beautiful and wonderfully made. You can check out my favorites by visiting my "shop" on Etsy by clicking the following link (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5161399). Go to 'Favorites". Esty prides it self on being a great source for all items handmade. Truly a priceless find in a day when so much is mass produced by those who could care less about quality.

Have fun!

Welcome to our lives and family

Beinvenu...Welcome to our family blog! Though we are not French, I have long loved the French language and people. Who am I kidding, I love languages (German, French, English, Danish....you name it - European or otherwise). Anyway, I felt that to be a modern mother, I needed to start a blog. How else will my daughter, albeit being only 2.5 years old, learn about the internet and all the wonders of the technological world without one....right?!

We have been feeding our neighbors rabbit, Frodo, since his decision to be a resident-in-exile/ex-patriot of his cage and have provided him sanctuary in our yard. Though, his life of being a free-bunny will not last long, we are having a ton of fun feeding and playing with him. He and Isabelle have the best time playing together. These are pictures from a few days ago.
